Born in Bistrița and now residing in Cluj-Napoca, Florin Gal is a passionate and dedicated wine educator, recently graduating with the prestigious WSET Diploma. His educational journey in the world of wine, which began six years ago, has taken him through a series of remarkable academic and practical experiences. He studied alongside extraordinary colleagues from 20 countries and was deeply inspired by Master of Wine instructors.
He took his theoretical and practical exams in Austria, solidifying his knowledge and skills. Beyond the academic aspect, he personally explored iconic wine regions worldwide, conversing with winemakers and deepening his understanding of wine at its core. He worked for two months as a Cavist during the harvest period to directly experience the winemaking process.
Florin is a Lean Consultant with extensive operational experience in multinational companies across various industries. This technical background helps him understand the systematic influences in the winemaking process.
As an educator at TRAWIS, Florin shares his passion for wine through a well-structured and dedicated educational approach. He believes that anyone can learn to appreciate a wine’s true value if properly guided.
